Castro v. TX Direct, LLC

No. W2012-01494-COA-R3-CV, 2013 WL 69209 (Tenn. Ct. App. Feb. 25, 2013).*

Counsel for Appellant. Represented Marina Castro in a pregnancy discrimination and retaliation case under the Tennessee Human Rights Act. The Court of Appeals affirmed in part and reversed in part, remanding for further proceedings.

Baxter Bailey Investments LLC v. APL Limited Inc.

No. W2015-00067-COA-R3-CV (Tenn. Ct. App. Sept. 21, 2015).*

Counsel for Appellant. Plaintiffs, a motor carrier and its assignee, appealed a sanctions award issued by the General Sessions Court and modified by the Circuit Court. The Tennessee Court of Appeals reversed, holding that the General Sessions Court lacked authority to impose attorney’s fees as sanctions.
